STUDENT ACTION LEADERSHIP TEAM (S.A.L.T)

The Student Action Leadership Team will play an important role for the students of Eastmont School. As a S.A.L.T. representative students are given the opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects for the benefit of the faculty, students, and community of Eastmont School. Members of S.A.L.T.  help with school spirit activities, promote involvement in community service projects, and assist with other school events. Leaders attend meetings where they learn discussion skills, share ideas, and spend time in prayer. 

POSSIBLE EVENTS SPONSORED BY S.A.L.T.:

 
  • Eastmont School Store

  • Monthly spirit days

  • School Legacy Project

  • Random acts of school kindness

  • Helping teachers in their classrooms before and after school

  • Helping at school fundraisers and events

  • Service projects

  • Help at assemblies

  • Organize school events-

 

QUALIFICATIONS to apply for S.A.L.T.:

 

Must be in 5th grade.

Must demonstrate: 

  • Leadership ability - participate in class, communicate effectively, and be creative.

  • Ability to teach and demonstrate the 4 school rules.

  • Good citizenship and positive relationships with others.

  • A strong work ethic - completes classroom and homework assignments.

  • Excellent attendance - on time with limited absences and early check outs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS to remain on S.A.L.T. if chosen:

 
  • Consistently demonstrate the above qualifications.

  • Must attend all S.A.L.T. meetings.  After two unexcused absences at meetings, the student will no longer be on the team.

  • Each quarter the team members’ classroom work habits and behaviors will be reviewed with their teachers.
